bits + pieces.

the american artisan festival was this weekend. i saw lots of things i wanted. but didn't buy. but it was fun to look. i'm into anything with birds right now. and anything retro. and anything turquoise.

and of course there were food trucks. this is a new one that caught my eye: retro snow.
(love the color!)
we had a yard sale (at the park) this weekend, as the boy is bound and determined to have his own money. he wants to buy more toys. so, logically, we had to get rid of some of the old ones. he got excited about the concept of earning money, although making change is not yet a concept he can grasp. we're working on it.

we're pretty (read: VERY) excited about going to see my sister in naples, fla., on saturday, and we'll be gone a whole week! check out my 2010 trip (aka "sister-palooza") here:

PS i got to meet artist roger clayton, whose art graces my favorite sushi restaurant in nashville, ken's sushi. he was charming. i couldn't afford a monkey or frog painting, but he gave me a business card that had a tiny print of a squirrel on it. yay!
