Little Swimmers

No, it's not swamp water. A plastic bucket we left outside filled up with rain water and the frogs have been laying eggs in it all summer. These tadpoles have been a fun and educational way to learn about swimmy creatures. Plus, now the forest is filled with croaking frogs all night long. We like to leave the windows open and let them sing us to sleep.

I did this once in my baby pool as a kid and it sure was a fascinating (but hot and dry) summer for me! How fun!

Fascinating. But have you ever heard of a little thing called West Nile Virus?

i had not thought of that. Do you get it from standing water? Or just standing tadpole water?
