Chicken Wars

Chick fil-A is hopping mad that McDonalds came out with a chicken sandwich in recent months that tastes suspiciously like a Chick fil-A.

Mac's Southern Style Crispy Chicken Sandwich is as good if not better than the Chick, despite the Chick's dibs on originality (they say they created the Chicken sandwich).

Anyhoo, they've been accepting Mac coupons and have put up signs in their stores attempting to dissuade diners from giving in to "imitators." Jealous! Let's see how they stack up, um, nutritionally.

Chick fil-A's classic fried chicken sandwich, without any sauces or mayo, has 380 calories, 11 grams of fat and 1,560 mg of sodium. The serving size on that is 8.73 oz.

McDonald's Southern Style Crispy Chicken Sandwich has 400 calories, 17 fat grams, and 1,030 mg of sodium. Despite this misleading image, the portion size is actually just 5.7 oz.

If there are any smart people out there, and you know who you are, could somebody please calculate how many calories the McDonald's sandwich would be if it were the same serving size as the Chick fil-A? There may be a prize in it for ya.

So there you have it. Both taste good, and are equally bad for you. But you get a lot more for your money at Chick fil-A since the portion size is a lot bigger. So, technically, you could get the Chick fil-A sandwich and eat 3/4 of it and come out money and calories ahead. But I still like Mickey D's the best.
