wild tomatoes

we didn't stake the tomatoes, so they're just growing wild on the back deck like crazy. for the longest time we had three foot high plants with no yellow blossoms, but at last the blossoms came, yielding, for the moment, about a dozen green tomatoes. can't wait to see them turn red and make tomato sandwiches. my fave.

Blooming paper products!

I am dying this is such a great idea. Botanical Paperworks has announcements, thank you notes and other paper products that are not only adorable, they are embedded with flower seeds. They actually will grow into flowers if you plant them. Think of all those Christmas cards and thank you notes you throw in the trash. Instead, bury them and watch them grow! This is the coolest thing ever!
