dads are awesome.

dads are awesome. especially mine. i'm taking the boy up to illinois in another week or so to visit for dad's birthday while hubz is in europe.

my dad and i spent a lot of time fishing together when i was a kid. i was such a tomboy - i always dug my own worms and baited my own hook, just to impress my dad.

oh! and the mennonite relief sale is going on that weekend, which i can't wait to share with the boy for the first time. the quilt auction, the homemade donuts, the antique sale ... it's a family tradition.
