Bits of my weekend volume 17

the weekend was, well, crazy.

the fundraiser i've been helping with, cupcake-palooza, was a big success. more than 1,000 cupcakes were gobbled down in just 25 minutes.

here's the boy in tears because by the time hubz brought him to the party, all the cupcakes were gone. i gave him this adorable cake by shara lunn that i'd squirrelled way for a door prize ...

... and all was right with the world again.

next time will be even bigger and better - clearly people like the idea of a cupcake festival.

perhaps they like it a little too much.

anyway, the boy played his first baseball game. unfortunately they ran out of uniforms, but he didn't seem to mind. he can really hit the ball, by the way.

you would think by this time we would be cupcaked out, but no. we baked red velvet cupcakes for the teachers.

why? because we love them.

the teachers. not red velvet cupcakes.

well, both, actually.

and the weather turned cool, so we carved a pumpkin. oh, how i love carving pumpkins.

i also had my first pumpkin spice latte from starbucks, so i guess that means fall is here!

hurray for fall!
