my understanding is there are different names for different sprinkles. i call the long thin ones with the curved ends like those in the picture jimmies. the round ones are non-pareils and then there is sanding sugar and pearl dragees. there are others too but i am by no means an expert!!

I thought only people from Boston called sprinkles jimmies:) I was so confused the first time I heard Tyler call them that.
