Fabulosity overload

I love sites like Black Eiffel and Steph Modo and I hate them. They pull together the best of the best: fabulous recipes, beautiful hand-stamped paper, fantastic art, gorgeous photography.

Super inspiring or shame-spiral inducing? Do these kinds of sites make you want to reach for the stars? Or just make you feel completely inadequate? For me, depends on the day.

I can tell you that Blog of Joan probably won't be running any articles on how to make home-made creme fraiche (why is it so darn expensive in the U.S.??)

Rather, you will see my flubbed (and sometimes decent) cupcakes, ruined roasts, and rabies-carrying porch pets. That is what you shall get from me.
