Mom and Dad hate it when anyone spends money on them. But the occasion of their 50th anniversary warranted a little something special. This is what we kids decided on: a turkey platter from Tiffany and Co.
The turkey represents all the happy memories we have playing and working on my grandparents' turkey farm (which is where my dad grew up). It also represents gathering around the table for mom's wonderful cooking. Mom received it by mail yesterday ... in pieces. Oh crumbs! Hello, Tiffany? Please send another post haste! They'll get the replacement next week.
