Silly Americans
Today at lunch I saw a reasonably well dressed couple seated at a small table facing each other with their laptop computers open. Beside him was a large overstuffed expensive-looking backpack. On the floor next to her was a tall Louis Vuitton tote (the monogram canvas sac plat for $965, to be exact). At some point they both got up and got in line to order their lunch. Abandoning their table, which was out of viewing range (and right next to the door, I might add), they ordered and then went to the other end of the restaurant to get their drinks. Eventually they came back and sat down, and enjoyed their lunch, seemingly unaware that they had left thousands of dollars worth of crap unattended in a crowded restaurant. Bon appetit, idiots!
