i got to see my sister's friend kelle hampton at vanderbilt beach on my first night of vacation ... along with her friend heidi (left) ...

... and heidi's little sweet bundle: baby ivy.

so cute to see them captured in a moment of quiet amidst the stormy skies. ivy, by the way, seemed unfazed by the wild winds.

kelle, on the other hand, was all about it. she wanted to capture those waves, even if it meant wrecking her giant, expensive camera. she was unstoppable.

and then. we got a tiny sliver of a sunset.
not the majesty and glory a naples sunset usually serves up ... but it was beautiful.
