bits of my weekend vol. 23

it was a sick weekend for us all.

the boy, hubz and me - all sickies. so we did some crafts.

and we went across the street to the sushi restaurant and nursed our coughs with green tea and miso soup.

the boy loves sushi, but not the seaweed.

so it gets messy.

we also went to starbucks and drowned our sorrows in hot tea.

and bought this little bear. on clearance, of course.

and when the tea didn't heal us, we made juice.

lots and lots of carrot juice.

we also found out over the weekend that hubz's beloved grandmother passed away at the age of 98.

this picture is from our visit in september. i'm so glad we got one last visit.

she was my inspiration. so kind and wonderful and positive.

that's the kind of person i want to be when i get old.

heck, i wish i was more like that now.
