an "out of this world" movie
i saw "moon" this week in anticipation of my interview with director duncan jones and was truly mesmerized. it is a thoughtful orwellian sci-fi indie that engages from frame one.
if you get the chance to see it, you should. if it's not in a theater near you, call up and ask for it.
the supremely talented (and under-recognized) sam rockwell is exquisite as an astronaut working on a remote space station. when he starts to see unexplained visions, he wonders if the isolation and loneliness have affected his mind, or if something more sinister is afoot.
go. see. it. now.
oh. i forgot. the interview with duncan was amazing. he was a delight. a very smart young man who is sure to be a directing force in years to come. he's already on top of his game and this is his first film.
