PS Did I mention I really liked the Star Trek movie?

Despite some confusing time-travel (Present day Spock, meet future Spock!), I adored this movie. Lots of action, of course, but the relatively unknown actors made this movie an utter delight.

Chris Pine, who plays the young Jim Kirk is terrific. He's engaging, funny and tough, fully able to play a wide range of emotions. You can be sure this is only the first installment of many more Star Trek movies to come. They even threw in some dialogue that harkened back to the beloved TV series ("Damn it, Jim, I'm a doctor!"), making it even more fun as we watch Uhura, Jim, Spock, Scotty and the whole gang interacting for the first time.

Take an engaging plot and some great acting, throw in a Vulcan Mind Meld or two, add some beaming up and toss in a couple of cool sci fi monsters on a snow-covered planet, and you've got a movie that is sure to Live Long and Prosper at the box office.

(Sorry, couldn't resist).
